This unit is devoted mainly to inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). The medical staff takes in charge an active list of about 2000 patients followed as outpatients, day care hospitalization (biotherapy, IV iron, nutrition support), endoscopy, and inpatients in traditional hospitalization unit with 30 beds. All patients entered a database called MICISTA (> 7000 IBD patients) devoted to natural history and risk factors in IBD and participated to the national CESAME cohort (Laurent Beaugerie, ≈ 20 000 IBD patients).
